T-Ball & Stars Leagues
T-Ball is a combination coach pitch, hit from the tee league for players age 5-6. Score is kept and 3 outs changes the side.
Stars is hit from the Tee only for 4 yr olds. Stars and T-Ballers generally practice one day per week with games on Saturday mornings.
Farm League
Farm league is a coach pitch format for 7-8 year old players. Players are evaluated and pooled by talent level. Skills include, hitting, base running, fielding and throwing. Teams are selected by blind draw from each talent pool.
Minor League
Minor league is a kid pitch format for players 9-12. Machine pitching is used early in the season to allow kid pitch development. Players not drafted by a Major League team are pooled by talent level. Teams are selected by blind draw from each talent pool.
Major League
Major League is a kid pitch format for players 9-12. All players are evaluated by the Major League coaches during a pre-draft tryout. Teams are made up of returning players from the prior season, and players drafted from the new talent pool by the coaches. Major League coaches are approved by the SHLL board of directors.
